Privacy policy

Summary

We do not ask you to register and we never upload what you type to any server. We use Google Analytics only for aggregated visit statistics.

What we collect

• Nothing from you: no name, no email address, no identifier of any kind.
• Your input: the weights and amounts you type stay in the page memory and are cleared on refresh. They are not sent to any server.
• Local preferences: your light/dark theme choice and numeral preference are stored in localStorage on your own device only.
• Visit statistics: we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited most, the country a visit came from, and the type of device used. These figures are aggregated and never linked to your name, and the weights or amounts you type are never sent to it.

External services

We use public APIs to fetch the gold and silver price and exchange rates (such as gold-api.com and open.er-api.com). These services may log your IP address as any web server does. We do not send them any of your input.

Cookies

We store one entry for your theme preference. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_XXXX) to tell one visit apart from another. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add advertising later, this policy will be updated before it goes live.

Your rights

We keep no record that identifies you, so there is no personal account for us to delete. You can block Google Analytics by clearing cookies or by installing Google's opt-out add-on, and you can clear your stored preferences at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

We may update this policy. The date above shows the last update.
