A small, transparent tool built to answer one question quickly and accurately.
What we do
We help people calculate zakat on gold, silver and cash by weight, and see whether they have reached nisab, without installing an app or creating an account.
How we handle numbers
- Live spot price: we use the international spot price of gold, not the jeweller's retail price.
- Metal only: zakat is due on the pure metal, not on making charges or shop margin.
- Transparency: our price sources and update times are shown on the page.
- No sign-up: no accounts, no advertising tracking of personal data, everything runs in your browser.
Data sources
Gold and silver prices come from gold-api.com, and exchange rates from open.er-api.com. Prices refresh every 10 minutes, with a cached fallback if the network is unavailable.
Limitations
This is a calculation tool, not a religious authority. We do not issue fatwas and do not cover complex ownership, inheritance or business-partnership questions. See the full disclaimer.
